What is an idiom ?
An Idiom is a word/phrase/sentence that cannot be understood by direct translation.
Here are some examples:
"Piece of cake" - An easily done task.
Example: This homework is a piece of cake.
"You can say that again" - To express that you agree with what the other person said but not literally tell them to say it again.
Example:
Me : It's good to be home
My friend: You can say that again!
"Call it a day" - Expression meaning something is over.
Example: I am so tired with this project, let's call it day.
"Over the moon" - Expression of happiness and joy.
Example: I received an A for my exam and I am over the moon!
Idiom!
They are over the moon because of the success of their project.
